Weekend of Art is coming to the City of Los Alamitos Community Center.
This exhibition of visual and performing arts is a yearly showcase of local talent, which includes a competition and participation from area schools.
Spanning two days in March, the event is organized by the City of Alamitos Recreation and Community Services.
Organizers said the event is intended to allow people to show off their original art and craft to raise art appreciation in the community.
On the final day of the exhibit, a closing ceremony announces winners in the art competitions and they are awarded. The 1st place winner gets a $100 gift card, the second place winner gets a $50 gift card and the 3rd place winner gets a $25 gift cards. All of the gift cards are to the Art Supply Warehouse in Westminster.
Competition categories are divided by age range and include Two Dimensional Awards and Three Dimensional Awards.
Those who place in the competition will also receive a ribbon and certificate. The award ceremony will be held in front of an audience and broadcast on LosAl TV.
Art exhibition events like these may choose to use flyer printing for a cost-effective promotional tool and brochure printing for artwork descriptions.
The Weekend of Art event is happening on March 14-15 at the Los Alamitos Community Center.
