La Palma schedules new signature event

La Palma is a vibrant and unique city, and a new event has been created to acknowledge that.

The La Palma City Council recognized the fact that the city is diverse, has a strong sense of community, and a vision for the future. Understanding this, the Council asked staff members to create a new event for La Palma that would be the city’s signature. Now it is time to enjoy that effort with the La Palma Festival of Nations.

The festival explores the city’s cultural heritage through exhibits, performances, and dances. The day will begin with a hometown parade that begins at Houston Avenue and continues down Walker Street to La Palma Avenue. Organizations from throughout the city, including local businesses, neighborhoods, organizations, and local schools will all take part.

After the parade, organizers say fun attractions will be available for everyone. These include a petting zoo and Kids’ Zone for the kids, while adults can enjoy a wine and beer garden, and food trucks with international menu items. Everyone can have fun with carnival games. In addition, dances and musical performances will take place at the Central Park Pavilion all day long.

The event takes place on April 30, with the parade stepping off at 10.30 am. The festival proper runs from 11.30 am until 6.00 pm at La Palma Central Park on Walker Street. Outdoor events like this can benefit if organizers use banner printing to create Signs marking a parade route.
