Festival seeks to bring more awareness of cat ownership

Cat Con LA is taking place for two days next month. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Fix Nation.

Three of the internet’s most famous cats will be on hand to meet and greet guests. They are Nala, Pudge and Lil Bub. The meet-and-greets cost $100 each and Lil Bub’s is already sold out.

There are set to be panel discussions on aspects of cat ownership, speakers such as Angie Bailey, Paul Koudounaris and William Braden and a cat video festival. The Cat Con Awareness Pavilion will provide information about various breeds and what owning a cat entails. Guests are welcome to bring along their own cats and visit the nail and beauty bar which will feature manicures and eye makeup. There will also be a cat adoption village for those looking for their next pet.

A total of 150 vendor booths will be offering a variety of cat-related merchandise and accessories.

This event will likely attract cat owners from all over the area including those from nearby La Palma. Flyers may be distributed to help spread the word.

Cat Con LA will be held at The Reef from June 25 to 26. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children between the ages of 5 and 12, and weekend passes are $40 and $25. To learn more, visit the event website.
