The Fine Arts Division of the City of Buena Park recently announced an upcoming art exhibition to be held in City Hall and is inviting everyone to attend.
The city is partnering with Cooperation Act (Co.Act), a non-profit, student-run organization with the aim of providing monetary as well as emotional support to needy students throughout the world. In order to achieve their aims, Co.Act organizes art exhibits, book drives, and other activities. Their theme for 2018 is Humanity, Peace, and Diversity, which the organization believes is timelier than ever before, and they want to show their optimism for the future by sharing their members’ artworks, in which the artists interpret this theme.
The show is now open, and the artworks will be on display through October 4; however, a formal opening reception is taking place this week and visitors from La Palma and surrounding areas may wish to attend. The celebration is slated for August 31, from 4 pm until 6 pm. Co.Act members will be on hand to meet guests and discuss their organization. Organizations like this can consult with Print shops to develop materials that explain their mission statement.
The exhibition is in Buena Park City Hall in the City Council Chamber; the hall is on Beach Boulevard. The building is open from 7.30 am until 5. 30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and alternating Fridays. It’s suggested that anyone who wants to visit should call (714) 562-3868 to make sure the exhibit is open before they make the trip.
