The Bizerkeley Vegan will organize a vegan food fest this September at Sports Basement in Berkeley.
The Bizerkeley Food Fest is an event that celebrates vegan cuisine and products by inviting several vegan vendors to the community. This year, attendees can purchase food from businesses such as Donna's Tamales, Sweet Flour Bakery, and The Vegan Hood Chefs. Other stores attending the event include the New Culture Vegan Boutique, 3rd I Boutique, and Jen Swift Art. Free samples will be available at the festival, and guests can participate in giveaways.
A portion of the money earned from the vegan fest will go to the Herd & Flock Animal Sanctuary. The organization saves the lives of many kinds of animals, like hens, geese, cows, and pigs. Over 700 abused and neglected farm animals have been helped by the sanctuary. Those who are 10 or older can become volunteers for the organization to help with tasks such as preparing meals for animals, cleaning up the shelter, and working in the group's garden.
The vegan food fest will be held on Sunday, September 3 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. General admission to the event costs $10, and VIP tickets are $50. Those who purchase VIP admission will receive a limited edition tote bag and an opportunity to meet with the festival's chefs.
