Food festival returns to Berkeley

Bizerkeley Vegan will soon present the second edition of the Bizerkeley Vegan Food Festival.

Erika Hazel, otherwise called the Bizerkeley Vegan, has been a vegan since 2016. She is passionate about traveling and documenting her vegan food adventures so that other vegans know where to eat. She also loves the city of Berkeley, which led her to form the Bizerkeley Vegan Food Festival. The festival is the first and only of its kind in Berkeley. It features over a dozen vegan food vendors showcasing a variety of cuisines. Wine tastings and complimentary hard kombucha will be available for those 21 years and older.

There will be live performances and presentations at the event, and 100% of the proceeds from the silent auction will go towards the Friends of Berkeley Animal Care Services. The organization will provide a dog kissing/petting booth. Attendees will receive Sports Basement Berkeley discounts.

Tickets start at $15, and kids 12 years and under can enter for free. Those interested in attending are encouraged to practice social distancing, and there will be hand sanitizing stations available. Poster printing is a creative and great way for organizers to provide information about events such as this.

The event will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Sports Basement Berkeley can be found at 2727 Milvia Street in Berkeley, California 94703. Those interested can visit the Bizerkeley Vegan website to find out more information.
