Berkeley to plan industrial engineering-themed conference

The University of California in Berkeley will be organizing a regional conference in February for industrial engineers.

The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Western Regional Conference is an event that helps students network with industry professionals while learning about trends in engineering. During the program, guests can listen to keynote speakers, view expert panels, and go on tours of nearby plants. Attendees will even receive free items from companies. The event will also be holding the 2022 IISE Western Regional Conference Undergraduate Student Technical Paper Competition. Participants in the contest are asked to write and present a technical paper for a chance to show their work at an upcoming convention in Seattle, Washington. Judges will evaluate the originality of the subject matter and the quality of each student’s written and oral presentations. All participants must be an undergraduate.

The IISE conference will be held from Friday, February 25 to Sunday, February 27 and will cost $90 to attend.
