Meyer Sound will hold a course in Berkeley to teach people about the MAPP 3D Sound System Design Tool.
System Design & Optimization is a program where students learn about how sound systems behave in real and modeled spaces. People will also discover how to accurately design and optimize systems with Meyer Sound solutions. The training materials for the course are included in the event fees.
All students are invited to participate in a Meyer Sound Factory tour. Meyer Sound is a company that was created by John and Helen Meyer in 1979. The organization has made several innovations in the industry, such as cardioid subwoofers and dedicated loudspeaker processors. All visitors must show proof they were vaccinated, and face masks are optional on the tour.
The instructors for the class will include Merlijn van Veen and Costandina Daros. Veen is a Senior Technical Support and Education Specialist who has done sound engineering for famous shows like Big Brother. Daros is an Associate Technical Instructor who graduated from UC Irvine’s sound design program.
The educational program will take place from December 5th to December 7th at the Meyer Sound Luna Classroom. Those who reserve a spot in advance can pay $300.
