A one-day technology-themed conference will be held at the Marriott Residence Inn in Berkeley this August.
The Bay Area Digital Government Summit is an event where public sector professionals can gather to learn about new technology and connect with fellow industry experts. There will be multiple networking breaks scheduled for the conference at the venue’s exhibit area. Guests can take part in concurrent sessions on topics such as safeguarding data privacy, disruptive technology, and cybersecurity hiring trends. A post-conference meetup will be held at the venue’s rooftop bar.
The main speakers for the summit include Sharon Gai and Mike Driessen. Gai is a professional keynote speaker who teaches companies how to incorporate AI (artificial intelligence) into their workflows. She has given presentations at Singularity University, Nestle, and Etail. Driessen is the vice president of Government Technology and has experience managing start-ups and large global teams. He has worked in IT consulting for over 30 years and went to school at Marquette University.
The digital government summit will be on Wednesday, August 28 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The event is only open to those who work in the public sector. There is no cost to attend the summit, though guests should register for the conference in advance. Organizations who put together professional conventions like this may use banner printing to showcase their sponsors to eventgoers.
