The annual Crab Feed & Cocktail Auction will be returning to Berkeley in February. The event, hosted by the St. Mary’s College High School, is a fundraiser to benefit the schools financial assistance program.
St. Mary’s is a high school that was founded 90 years ago and has been in Berkeley since 1927. Funds raised at the event have in the past benefited over 43% of the students enrolled and generates over $2 million annually.
Donations are currently being sought for the “Instant Wine Cellar” auction. Donations are accepted from businesses and individuals who must submit the form and items by January 23rd. This may be a great opportunity for businesses to make donations of wine and even promotional Drinkware to go along with the wine. Wines should be in the $25 range.
The dinner itself is held after a social that includes a no-host bar. During this time attendees can browse the auction items while they sip on their cocktails and mingle with others. Diners at the event will be treated to a menu, which includes crab or chicken, salads and pasta.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 4th at 5:30pm at St. Mary’s College High School is located at 1294 Albina Avenue, Peralta Park. Reservations must be made in advance, there are no ticket sales at the door. Guests will be assigned seating so if you plan to sit with others in your group you need to state that at the time of the reservation.
