Residents in the area of Berkeley will have a chance to compete in the 9th Annual “Shortest Triathlon Ever” event, which will be held in Emeryville next month.
This year's event will consist of a 100-yard swim and a 2.5-mile bike ride, before concluding with a 2.1-mile run. This is the triathlon to do for beginners, with a chance to compete for prizes including a trophy awarded to the top male and female, and medals to be awarded to the top three finishers of each gender in each age group.
Emeryville, known for its scenes in the opening of the movie ‘The Incredibles’, offers a flat course that consists of a run past the Bay Street shops. This should be a great opportunity for local businesses to promote the event with storefront Posters, as well as obtaining Banners to display out front during the race to draw attention to their businesses.
Entry fee includes a T-shirt, breakfast, and admission to the Health and Wellness Fair. Guests can bring their family and friends to cheer them on and enjoy the post-race activities.
The event will take place Saturday, April 9th and will begin and end at City Hall. Emeryville residents are eligible for a $5 discount with a valid ID. Race Day registration and check-in begins at 6:30 am, while the event starts at 8:00 am.Get a Free Quote for Banners Get a Free Quote for Posters
