Berkeley music venue to feature two talented bands

The Cornerstone music venue and Cali Roots will be presenting a concert this November in Berkeley that features the group Satsang and singer Paul Izak.

Satsang is a band named after a Sanskrit word that means ‘in the company of truth.’ The group’s lead singer and songwriter is Drew McManus, who formed the band to share his life journey to help those who are lost. Satsang debuted in 2016 and released a song called ‘I Am’ that reached over two million listens on Spotify. The band has also managed to hit the #1 spot on the Billboard reggae charts with their 2017 release of Pyramid(s).

Paul Izak is a man from Hawaii who has been performing as a singer since 2004. His first experiences on stage were as a soloist in his 2nd-grade chorus. Izak has released several albums during his career, including Peaceful Worlds, Seeds of Love, and Back to the Roots. His songs can be described as a mix of folk, blues, rock, and reggae. Performers like Izak can use poster printing to inform the public about their upcoming concerts.

Those interested in seeing Satsang and Paul Izak perform can attend their concert on Friday, November 13. Doors to the event will be opened at 7:30 pm, though the show will not begin until 8:30 pm. Tickets can be bought for $15. The concert is intended for all ages.
