The nationwide event Relay for Life will be coming to Berkeley in August.
The event’s organizers are known for their ability to help raise cancer awareness, unite communities, and bring businesses together to sponsor and support the event.
Local businesses can contribute on a variety of levels, including Signature, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Presenting. The higher the level, the more of an opportunity for businesses to promote their products and services. For example, sponsors at most levels are able to display Banners at the event, although they may be no larger than 4x6 feet.
Most sponsors will also be able to display their Logo Design on the sponsor page for the event website, and higher level sponsors may have their emblem displayed on printed promotional materials, and featured on a four-foot ribbon sign displayed at the event.
Those participating in the event will find a fundraiser that brings together families and friends to help raise awareness and support for cancer research. The event organizers’ mission is to help people not only stay well, but find cures and aid recoveries.
The events start with an opening ceremony, followed by a Survivor and Caregiver Lap. The event continues with relay teams, a luminary ceremony, and family games and entertainment.
