The Ashkenaz Music and Dance Community Center in Berkeley, California will be featuring a group of talented female comedians performing this March.
Lisa Geduldig, a comedian and producer from the Bay Area, has partnered with Ashkenaz to create a monthly comedy series called Comedy at Ashkenaz! The series started back in 2017 and has been known to raise funds for different organizations such as the Redwood Empire Food Bank and the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services. The lineup will include stand-up performances by Geduldig, alongside Carla Clayy, Priyanka Wali, and Jade Theriault.
As a nonprofit organization, Ashkenaz relies on the donations provided by businesses to assist with financing their talent development programs and building renovations. Companies that donate $500 or more to the Ashkenaz Music and Dance Community Center will be publicly recognized in the center’s dance hall. Centers often use poster printing to ensure that businesses are visible to guests.
The Comedy at Ashkenaz! Women’s History Month Comedy show will be held on March 14 from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Attendees can come to the event as early as 7:30 pm to pick their seats. Tickets can be purchased from $15 to $20 on a sliding scale and will be available online until the day of the event. There will be no refunds for the comedy show.
