A private school has bought a building in downtown Chandler to expand its campus.
New Vistas Center for Education, which already has space on Arizona Avenue, has bought a single-story office building adjacent to its current property. The building was once a Chandler Community Service Center.
Currently, New Vistas has a seven-acre campus, including a building comprising 64,692 square feet. The new structure and land will add another 12,000 square feet, plus an additional acre, to the existing property. The new building will be used for classrooms and larger office spaces, and the grounds will be renovated to hold larger playgrounds.
Carol Elias, New Vistas' co-director, notes that the acquisition is an important part of the school's strategic plan, and adds that the benefits of the purchase will be realized immediately by existing students, as well as encouraging more children to enroll.
New Vistas is private institution that works with gifted and bright students from throughout the United States, as well as 38 other countries. It focuses on advanced academic subjects without imposing limits on learning and, as a result, its students often perform anywhere from two to six years above their grade. During the summer, New Vistas admits about 200 students from pre-kindergarten through 10th grade to its specialized enrichments classes.
New Vistas might consider working with brochure printers to develop a mailer that describes its programs and successes with gifted students.
