Parkland Memory Care, which provides assisted living for those with Alzheimer's disease and other Forms of dementia, will soon open in Chandler.
Chandler's city council members recently approved a zoning change that would allow Parkland to operate a facility at 3500 South Arizona Avenue. The development will comprise a single-story, 36,377 square foot facility for memory care, along with two medical buildings that will contain offices.
The facility's design will meet the unique needs of those who have various Forms of dementia, with amenities including 24-hour-a-day nursing care, three secure courtyards, rooms for activities, attractive landscaping including walking paths, and an in-house salon. The architectural style is Tuscan ranch, featuring large beamed trellises, a tiled roof, and decorative lighting. On the grounds, the developers plan two small groves of citrus trees where residents can gather for activities. The entrance drive will be lined with date palms on both sides.
There will be 72 beds in the facility, most of them in private units. Units will include private suites, companion apartments, and deluxe private suites. The project developers are Neal Salmen and Raymond Poe of Medical Development Partners, who plan to start construction in the summer of 2016.
Parkland officials might like to work with a brochure printing company to create a booklet about the facility, which they can distribute to healthcare professionals in the area now.Get a Free Quote for Forms
