The annual Senior Expo is coming up soon in Chandler, hosted by the Committee for the Aging, which was formed by Kevin Hartke, Chandler's mayor.
According to the mayor, many people today enjoy an active retirement, almost as long as their working lives, and they want to enjoy that time to the fullest. This year, there will be more 60 exhibitors at the Expo, who will provide information on a variety of important topics include legal matters, financial planning, new products, and healthcare. Event organizers can use brochure printing to create informative Booklets for attendees.
The Expo is sponsored by the AARP and Dignity Health, and is aimed at both those who are already retired, and those who will retire soon, as well as adult children who are taking care of aging parents or other relatives.
The event is organized by Nancy Jackson, who says that the Expo draws almost 1,000 attendees, including retirees, their caregivers, and their families. She calls it the “best ticket in town” for the city's seniors.
Chandler Fire will provide blood pressure Checks free of charge, and there will be information available to veterans. Exhibitors at the event will provide items to be raffled off.
The Senior Expo is set for next Wednesday, March 13, from 9:00 am until noon, at the Chandler Community Center on Commonwealth Avenue. The event is open to the public, and both parking and the expo itself are free.
