School board announces superintendent finalists
The Menomonee Falls school district has revealed the names of two finalists vying for the position of permanent superintendent.
Corey Golla departed at the conclusion of the school year ending in 2022 and the board has been operating without a permanent superintendent ever since. James Heiden has been serving as the interim superintendent since August. The board has been looking for a permanent successor and has reduced the list of potential candidates to just two – David Muñoz and Jerome Sardina.
Having previously submitted their names for the superintendent position in the Hartland-Lakeside district located in Waukesha County, Muñoz and Sardina have both decided to withdraw their candidacies for that post. As a result, the Hartland-Lakeside district will be seeking an interim superintendent to fill the role in the upcoming school year. Sardina also made the shortlist for the Mukwonago district superintendent, but the Mukwonago School Board ultimately appointed Joseph Koch. Executives starting in new roles are likely to need a fresh set of business cards.
The district put out a statement reading:
Early in July, board members will accompany each finalist on a community and district tour where they will have the opportunity to interact with school principals.
