Fragrant festival planned in Menomonee Falls

A special occasion that will make the entire city smell wonderful is scheduled in Menomonee Falls.

The 6th Annual Falls Lavender Festival invites everyone to enjoy the color and scent of the lavender, a perennial flowering plant native to the Old World, particularly around the Mediterranean. In addition to using lavender for its fragrance and as home décor, lavender can also be used in cooking.

Among the planned activities is a vendor fair, where visitors will find a range of housewares, clothing, jewelry, art, and more, including vendors who specialize in lavender products. Specialty food trucks will also be at the event with delightful treats everyone will enjoy.

The Main Stage will be the backdrop for performers and musicians who will entertain throughout the festival. A Kidzone will feature balloon art and face painting, and the fire department will have their Survive Alive House for youngsters to experience. The kids can also use a water hose off the fire truck.

The beer garden will give adults a spot to relax and savor a range of beverages including soda, craft beers, and water.

The Lavender Festival is scheduled for July 18, from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm. It will be held rain or shine at the Village Park in Menomonee Falls. For several days before the festival, beginning July 14, downtown businesses will have lavender products available. Events like this can gather support when organizers use poster printing to create advertisements for them.
