An upcoming event in Menomonee Falls welcomes the festive season.
Small Business Saturday marks the start of the holidays with supporting and promoting the idea that people should do their shopping locally. This is important in the Menomonee Falls Downtown District, where many unique, locally owned restaurants, boutiques, shops, and service providers will be sharing the sounds and decorations of the season.
Not only will it be fun to shop in the District, but the American Legion Post will be hosting Santa Claus so people can stay and say hello, and wagon rides throughout the historic area of the Falls will be available.
Centennial Plaza will be the site of enjoyable holiday entertainment, including performances by Accompany of Kids, and St. Paul’s UCC handbell choir. Accompany of Kids is a non-profit organization, and a group of young, talented, dancers and singers. The group’s mission is to use the arts to help young people gain leadership skills, self-confidence, and become successful and productive adults.
Chris Sparrow currently leads the Bell Choir, which performs approximately once a month. The ensemble welcomes anyone who is interested in joining, and appears annually on Small Business Saturday. Festivities at the plaza end with the traditional Tree Lighting.
Small Business Saturday is November 28, from 10.00 am until 7.00 pm in the Menomonee Falls Downtown District and in Centennial Plaza. The Tree Lighting is set for 6.00 pm. Events like this benefit when organizers use poster printing to create advertisements.
