Menomonee Falls plans to honor history

A weekend event in Menomonee Falls commemorates U.S. participation in the greatest conflict in history.

World War II Days will be held at Old Falls Village Park in downtown Menomonee Falls. Reenactors will portray World War II soldiers and bring the conflict alive through weapons demonstrations, battles, and encampments where visitors will be able to chat with the soldiers. Music, live entertainment, and food will be available, and a beer garden will be open to adults who appreciate a refreshing brew.

The weekend’s activities include military displays and vendors, music, and scavenger hunts, as well as numerous children’s events. Families are encouraged to watch history come to life. They should plan to arrive early if they want to have a good view of the battles, which will take place twice each day.

Friends of Old Falls Village is the organizer of the event, which will help support Old Falls Village Park. The fun begins with a preview variety show on Friday, June 19, the evening before the weekend kicks off. Also on the same day, a School Day for grade schoolers will take place from 9.00 am until12.00 pm.

The main events take place on Saturday, June 20, from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm, and Sunday, June 21, from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm. The Old Falls Biergarten will be open on Saturday from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm. When they plan events like this, organizers will find that using poster printing to advertise them can increase attendance.
