Renovations to recommence at Village Park

Menomonee Falls has decided to push forward with phase two of the improvements being made to Village Park.

Village Park has been a great place for the people of Menomonee Falls to celebrate, play and come together for more than a hundred years. The city council approved a plan to redesign the park and it will complete the redesign in two phases. The first phase of the project saw the park get a new great lawn, multi-purpose plaza, and amphitheater and it was started in 2020.

The second phase has been confirmed to start in October this year. The major improvement in this phase is the addition of a play area that will cover more than 12,000 square feet. The play area will feature playing structures for toddlers as well as big kids as part of the project’s goal of promoting healthy and positive outdoor fun for people of all ages. Phase 2 will also see the addition of the first splash pad in Menomonee Falls, new tennis and pickleball courts, and improved access and lighting for picnic areas, trails, and parking lots. Banner printing is sometimes used near a site to visualize what a project will look like.

The Village of Menomonee Falls will invest $2.3 million in phase two after investing a similar amount in phase one. The Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls also made a substantial donation of over $1 million through a community fundraising campaign.
