Recreation center offers classes and seminars

School District of Menomonee Falls Community Education and Recreation is hosting several events at the local community center.

Norris Chief Program Officer Teresa Cocker will teach the workshop Foster Care in Our Community. Norris is a southeastern Wisconsin social service non-profit organization. The seminar will teach attendees about the system of foster care and how it influences families and the youth of the community.

Whether attendees plan to foster children or not, the lecture will go over how everyone in the community can make a difference in the foster care system. It will be held in Room 106.

Also, Team Rehabilitation physical therapist and Zumba instructor Casey Devlin will teach a an energetic exercise class. Attendees are asked to bring appropriate shoes and water. The class will meet in the A and B sections of Room 102.

Health is influenced by food intake. With this in mind, a Cup of Health presentation will teach residents about proper nutrition. A registered nurse will give the lecture in Room 123.

The foster care workshop will be held on March 7 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, Zumba will take place on March 9 from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm, and he Cup of Health presentation is on March 11 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Each seminar is free but attendees must register. The community center is located at W152 N8645 Margaret Road. Flyer printing is often used by communities to inform the public about useful classes.
