What's Happening in Germantown, WI…

Population growth noted in Menomonee Falls

Despite that Milwaukee has shrunk in population, Menomonee Falls has had the most growth in southeastern Wisconsin according to the United States Census Bureau’s new population estimates.

About 674 people have moved into the village, creating a nearly 2% growth and ranking it fourth in the state when it comes to population increase. Many of them moved into the mixed use developments that have been built in the past year, such as Whitestone Station. When it comes to growth, the village came in just a few places below third place Oak Creek, which also developed properties for mixed use such as Drexel Town Square.

Milwaukee had the largest decline in number by 4,366, but northern areas have had a decline of over 1%. The city is almost back to what its population was in 2010.

Other cities to see a decline include Racine, Greendale, West Allis, Glendale, Greenfield, Whitefish Bay, Cudahy, and Whitewater. Ankeny Iowa was the only city in the Midwest to make the top 15. According to the US Census Bureau, most of the cities that are growing the most rapidly are in the southern part of the country, such as Texas.

Such a large growth in population for a village is something to announce to the public. A newsletter printing company could let the village know of the news.
