Menomonee Falls to host technology systems

Nova Systems, a company that helps with system integration, will hold a talk on obsolete technology. The discussion is designed to help business owners deal with aging technology and will be open to residents in Menomonee Falls.

Nova Systems identifies technology “obsolescence” as a key issue businesses might face. Obsolescence is when manufacturers are no longer available to provide technical support for older products. As a result, if these older technologies malfunction, there will be no reliable way to repair or troubleshoot them. These situations are often costly for businesses, as finding and purchasing new parts can be expensive. Nova Systems aims to teach entrants how these issues can be accounted for.

Entrants will learn how to plan for technological obsolescence and why making precautions can be crucial. Nova Systems will also guide entrants on how to develop an obsolescence management plan (OMP). Entrants can also expect to learn to identify signs that their technological systems might be nearing the end of their supported lives. These events are often supported by print shops, which provide entrants with learning materials.

The talk will take place on February 3 between 9:00 AM and 12:00 noon. Entry for the event is $20 and tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite. The event will happen in-person at Nova Systems’ company building on Silver Spring Drive.
