Menomonee Falls library to hold winter-themed craft session

Library Memory Project will work with Menomonee Falls Public Library to deliver its monthly Virtual Memory Café. Participants will be building a winter-themed craft.

The Library Memory Project supports seniors facing early signs of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other forms of memory loss. Each monthly Virtual Memory Café provides a social space for seniors, and their caretakers, to work on personal projects together. Libraries that are part of the Memory Project also provide educational courses on topics related to memory loss.

For January’s class, entrants can expect to decorate and design their own mugs. The event organizers will prepare a package that participants can pick up before the event. The kit will contain the necessary materials needed for decorating a personal mug. After registration, the library will send an email of confirmation and instructions on how to pick up the package for the event. Printing services are frequently employed to produce materials for these events.

The class will take place on January 14th, 2021 between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM. Entrants will participate through Zoom, and a link for the call will be sent before the day. The organizers also ask that participants register by January 5, as this will give libraries the time to contact entrants on when and how they can pick up the materials for the mug.
