Menomonee Falls exercises for summer
Fit in the Parks activities are in full swing in Menomonee Falls.
Organizations in the community work with Menomonee Falls officials to host this part of a countywide push to promote physical activity. There are activities for all ages, and each of the events is free. Registering is recommended but if there are openings available, walk-ins may be permitted.
Levy Palos will teach Yoga Without a Mat for adults. It will be in Shelter #2 in Rotary Park. In this class, participants do not have to perform strenuous poses to become stronger, more flexible, and increase balance.
A safer and more approachable form of yoga for adults who are older or have limitations, all poses are either sitting or standing. There will be chairs on site for those who may need them.
Teens and adults can train for hardcore obstacle courses at the Spartan SGX Obstacle Race Training class. A certified instructor will guide participants through a workout and teach them about various obstacle challenges.
It will take place at Legendary Fitness in the main shelter of Willowood Park. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle.
Yoga Without a Mat is on July 15 at 11:45. It will last 45 minutes. Obstacle race training is on July 18 at 7:30. It will last 90 minutes.
