Menomonee Falls dads ready to run

A Father’s Day Run will take place in Menomonee Falls next week. The event will give families a chance to show their appreciation for the fathers in their lives.

The event will have three options: a 5K run, a 10K run, or a half marathon. Participants will tread through a pre-determined path at Menomonee Park. Due to the COVID-19 situation, organizers cannot set up aid stations, so entrants should bring their own water and supplies. A drop area will be made available for runners to offload any supplies they bring.

Entrants can also order a custom race shirt. These shirts usually have a unique logo design and are guaranteed for anyone who registers before June 12.

Awards and medals will also be given out to the top three finishers for both male and female runners. All winners will be divided according to age groups. The event will not hold an awards ceremony. Instead, runners can either pick up their medals at a later date or have them mailed.

The event will take place on June 19. Races will start at 9:00 AM, and runners will start in waves. Participants must also pick up their packets before the run begins. Tickets are $25 for the 5K and 10K options and $35 for the half marathon. Anyone driving to the location will also need to pay $6 for parking.
