Library to delve into Menomonee Falls history
Menomonee Falls Public Library is set to host a historical review of the village of Menomonee Falls.
The event will feature a lecture and question-and-answer period from Jill Schmidt, a local historian. As noted by Schmidt and in the event description, Menomonee Falls started as a small village that was more of an offshoot of Milwaukee. The event will discuss the beginnings of the village, including its first settlers, the first buildings of Menomonee Falls, and the fate of those who first founded the village.
Tickets and RSVPs are requested and may be arranged at the website or by calling the library. However, the library has noted that there is a chance that the event will need to transition to a virtual one, depending on the ongoing situation with COVID-19. When events are subject to change, flyer printing, emails, and changes on the website will be used to alert patrons of the library about the event change.
The event will take place at the Menomonee Falls Public Library on February 7. The event will be from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and the address of the library is W156 N8436 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls.
Anyone looking for more information about the event – or who wants to call the day of the event to confirm that it is still on – can call the library at 262-532-8920.
