Health system scores high honors
Truven Health Analytics has placed Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin in the top 20% in the nation for midsized healthcare systems.
A total of four health systems in Wisconsin earned the award from the autonomous health system and hospital assessment organization. According to a news release by Cathy Jacobson, the CEO and President of Froedtert Health, Truven Health Analytics is a renowned organization and the honor reflects to ethics of the Froedtert system.
The award was based on over 2,400 hospitals in 337 health systems and how their data scored on illness cost, patient care, care quality, and efficiency in operations. The top healthcare organizations went into three groups divided by 2015 hospital operation costs. Midsize, which is the group Froedtert & MCW finds itself in, has costs from $750mto $1.5bn. Systems that make the list often score high in survival rates and low in expenses and mistakes.
The Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin has several network branches across the state, including West Bend's St. Joseph's Hospital, Wauwatosa's Froedtert Hospital, and Menomonee Falls' Community Memorial Hospital. It also runs over 25 health centers in Wisconsin.
Brochure printers for the hospitals and health system administration could add the honor in the next reprint, so potential patients and their families understand the hospital’s qualifications and are more likely to choose it for care.
