Falls company acquires standby power supplier
High Road Capital Partners, which is based in Menomonee Falls, disclosed last week that it has acquired Quality Standby Services.
High Road bought Nolan Power Group and Storage Battery Systems, LLC previously, and QSS will join in as part of a portfolio company group.
QSS has its headquarters in Georgia and is a popular supplier of hardware and service for standby power. It offers products like chargers, batteries, converters, inverters, uninterruptible power supplies, and components for a DC power system. Its services include monitoring battery systems and hardware testing.
Nolan Power Group and Storage Battery Systems CEO Jake Walker said the purchase of QSS gives the company a larger reach geographically and a bigger customer base. The acquisition also allows the company to supply more services and products.
QSS Managing Principal and Senior Engineer Lesley Varga expressed the company's excitement about working with Nolan Power Group and SBS in order to serve customers and offer a larger selection of products. Varga will still manage daily activities of the QSS legacy.
Founded in 2007, High Road Capital Partners concentrates on smaller transactions in the middle market. Its focus is unique businesses with $10m-$100m in revenue. It has produced more than $470m in pledged funds.
High Road can use corporate gifts to make the employees of QSS feel more welcome and comfortable with the acquisition.
