Arts festival takes over Menomonee Falls streets
A fun-filled arts festival will be making a return to Menomonee Falls.
The Falls Festival of the Arts is set to return to Main Street in Downtown Menomonee Falls this month, running the length of the street from Grand Avenue to Water Street, and spilling into Mill Pond Plaza and Park. According to organizers, this year’s festival will provide an expanded program, and even more interactive opportunities for visitors of all ages than in previous years.
Visitors can expect to see a variety of visual and performance art, and a Kids Art Zone. Artists from all around the local area and region are set to attend, and those who would like to can help create a free community art project as part of a collaborative piece.
Festival admission and parking are free. Printing services can be enlisted by artists who need assistance in displaying their work at this sort of event.
The Falls Festival of the Arts started five years ago as a small art walk, and since then has grown with the help of local business, organizations, and volunteers. Organizers will also host a Plein Air Painting Competition and a Sculpture Painting Competition leading up to the festival, as a means to generate excitement and increase community participation.
The Falls Festival of the Arts will return to Downtown Menomonee Falls on Saturday, August 23 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
