A popular event is returning to Yakima, much to the delight of foodies throughout the area.
The Central Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (CWHCC) recently announced that the Yakima Taco Fest will be back this year, bringing one of the most popular street foods anywhere to the Downtown Yakima Rotary Pavilion.
Tacos are the centerpiece of this community event, and they will be supplied by some of the best of the region’s taco vendors. This will give attendees a chance to try a wide variety of these flavorful treats, along with drinks and live music.
As important as tacos are—and they are found everywhere from Maine to California—the festival is also a celebration of an exciting culture. Central Washington has a storied Hispanic heritage, which will be evident in the music and special activities planned for the day.
Taco Fest is a primary fundraiser for the CWHCC, and the money raised helps the organization to continue its mission. Among its objectives is to increase economic opportunities for individuals, entrepreneurs, and business owners in the area. It does so by providing representation, resources, and opportunities to thrive.
The Yakima Taco Fest is scheduled for next Saturday, May 3, from 2.00 pm until 9.00 pm. The Rotary Pavilion is an open-air structure, so organizers planning an event like this could use banner printing to create colorful and themed decorations for outdoor use.
