Comedy on the way to Yakima

A comedian whose shows are suitable for everyone is coming to Yakima.

Dry Bar Comedy presents Brad Upton, who is on his “I’m Not Done Yet!” tour. Neal Harmon and his team founded a “clean comedy” club that featured comedians whose material was suitable for all ages. No alcohol was served, which is where the “Dry Bar” name comes from. The enterprise expanded from a physical club to online material that has been viewed billions of times.

Brad Upton was coaching track at Pasco High School when he stepped in front of a mic in 1984. He appeared at Seattle’s Comedy Underground, where Laura Crocker saw him, and suggested he compete in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. He was not a winner, but the experience led him to quit teaching and turn to comedy full time.

Since then, he has had remarkable success, performing more than 6,000 shows across the world, and winning the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. He opened for Johnny Mathis from 2008 until Mathis retired in 2025. He opened for the late Joan Rivers, and has shared the stage with Pam Tillis, Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, and Smokey Robinson, and has appeared in the MGM in Macau.

Upton will be at the Capitol Theatre in Yakima on March 20. The theater is based at 19 South 3rd Street. Performances like this can benefit from the publicity they receive when organizers use poster printing to create advertising.
