An upcoming Candlelight Concert in Yakima will feature the music of Hans Zimmer, played in the magical atmosphere created by thousands of LED candles.
The Listeso String Quartet will play as part of the occasion. When they plan concerts like this, organizers can use poster printing to promote them.
Hans Zimmer is a native of Frankfurt, Germany, and has composed music for more than 150 films. Among many other honors, Zimmer has won two Oscars as of 2022, one for 1994’s “The Lion King,” and the second for “Dune,” which was released in 2021.
The program, which is subject to change, includes “Time” from the film “Inception,” “Zooster’s Breakout” from “Madagascar,” and “This Land” from “The Lion King.” Also on the program are “Supermarine” from “Dunkirk,” “Honor” from the television miniseries “The Pacific,” “A Dark Knight” from 2008’s “The Dark Knight,” the “Cornfield Chase” from “Interstellar,” and “Discombobulate” from the fight scene in the cheeky 2009 version of “Sherlock Holmes.”
There are several suites on the program as well, from “Gladiator,” “Dune,” “Wonder Woman,” and the ever-popular “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
The concert is scheduled for Friday, December 19 at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse in Yakima. The program begins at 6.30 pm, and the doors open 45 minutes earlier and will close five minutes before the start of the concert. No late arrivals will be seated, and the concert is for those eight and older. Patrons under 16 years of age must have an adult with them.
