A stand-up comedian, reality TV host, actor, and podcaster is coming to Yakima.
Bert Kreischer first came to notice when he was a student at Florida State University, and Rolling Stone magazine wrote an article calling him the top partier at a school that has the reputation of being the best party school in the United States. The article was the inspiration for the 2002 movie “Van Wilder.”
Kreischer has numerous credits throughout the entertainment industry, including hosting the television series “Trip Flip” and “Bert the Conqueror” on the Travel Channel, and “Hurt Bert” on FX. He starred in “The Machine,” a film he also created, based on his life, and created and starred in a film on Netflix, “The Cabin with Bert Kreischer.”
He also has several stand-up specials under his belt including 2009’s “Bert Kreischer: Comfortably Dumb,” and clips of his specials have amassed millions of online views. He has made guest appearances on talk shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with David Letterman, and on The Rachael Ray Show.
Kreischer is the author of “Life of the Party: Stories of a Perpetual Man-Child,” which chronicles the life experiences that inspire his comedy, and he created a comedy cooking show, “Something’s Burning,” that mixes culinary disasters with humor.
Kreischer can turn ordinary experiences into performances that resonate with his audiences. He will appear at the Yakima SunDome on October 5, where organizers can turn to poster printing to create advertising for the event.
