Music celebrates Groundhog Day in Yakima

An upcoming bash in Yakima will have people rocking out all night long.

Brews is the setting for the 9th Annual Groundhog Day Bash, featuring music from local bands Eiffel Null, Invicta, and NOGRAVES. Eiffel Null is a Yakima-based band that formed in 2025 and is already building a fanbase. They are a hardcore punk outfit.

Invicta is one of Yakima’s most popular heavy metal bands. Playing a powerful mix of metalcore, punk, and thrash, backed by heavy guitars and pounding drums, Invicta is led by founding member Danger, a vocalist who cites Slayer as an influence. Other members are Kayden Lorton on guitar, CJ on bass, and drummer Curt No Brain.

NOGRAVES was created in 2014, and, according to their Facebook page, is a “raw aggressive primary emotional” Pacific Northwest band hat plays “Death Doom Sludge.”

The event is free and is limited to those 21 years of age and over, who may be asked to show identification. Eazy Eats will be providing the food, and organizers are asking patrons to support local businesses and bands by purchasing merch and drinks. When they plan events like this, organizers can help support them by using poster printing to create advertisements.

The event is scheduled for February 7, with the music starting at 8.30 pm, and going until 1.30 am on February 8. Brews Yakima is located at 104 South 2nd Street.
