What's Happening in Woodinville, WA…

Woodinville to offer concert with a difference

A jazz concert in an unusual venue is coming to Woodinville.

JazzVox House Concerts is in its 15th season and has announced an upcoming show featuring Clockwork, is a San Francisco-based vocal quartet comprising Dave Duran, Adam Blankman, Juliet Green, and Angie Doctor.

The group most often performs close-harmony jazz but has its own take on rock and pop songs as well. Local bassist Clipper Anderson and jazz flutist and percussionist John Calloway will accompany the singers. This is the first time JazzVox House has presented a vocal quartet. Organizers of events such as this can use flyer printing to create handouts announcing the evening.

Clockwork has developed its own signature sound based on the traditional work of such jazz vocal groups as Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, and the Hi-Lo’s. Members perform a wide range of music from jazz standards to R&B, gospel, and funk, drawing inspiration from all genres.

The group has experience in performing both a cappella and with accompaniment, and members of the group have appeared with artists such as the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, Boyz Nite Out, Heatwave, Bobby McFerrin, Vocal Flight, and many others.

The venue for the concert is a private home in Woodinville and the date of the concert is April 23. The doors open at 7:00 pm with the music starting at 8:00 pm. Light refreshments will be provided, and guests are encouraged to bring something special if they prefer. All guests need to provide proof of vaccination.
