Woodinville is planning a party this summer simply to enjoy being Woodinville.
The upcoming Celebrate Woodinville Festival kicks off with a pancake breakfast for the whole community. The breakfast will be held at Eastside Fire & Rescue’s Fire Station 31, from 8.00 am until 10.30 am. Although the meal is free, donations at the time will be greatly appreciated.
The Community Parade runs from 11.00 am until 12.00 pm, and comes down 175th Street. People are encouraged to get there early to find a spot to watch the parade, which includes everything from classic cars to gymnasts.
Part of the day is devoted to man’s best friend, in this case, basset hounds. Anyone who wants to take part in the parade with their furry buddy should meet no later than 10.30 am at the AMC Lowes Woodinville 12 Theatre.
There is also a Basset Bash scheduled, from 12.30 pm until 3.30 pm, in DeYoung Park. Enthusiasts will be able to watch the fun as they determine which dog has the loudest howl or the longest ears. The fee to enter the Basset Bash is $20.
The Festival & Fair takes place in Wilmot Gateway Park between 12.00 pm and 4.00 pm. Activities include food vendors, local artists, a craft beverage garden, live music, games for everyone, bounce houses, the Woodinville Car Club classic car show, and more.
The Festival is August 10. Planners of events like this often use poster printing techniques to create local advertising.
