Woodinville hosts wine country events in December
The Woodinville Wine Country has plenty to raise a glass to over the next two weekends.
Based about a half-hour northeast of Seattle, it is home to more than 100 wineries and tasting rooms that produce nearly every type of wine available. Its website publishes the numerous events that take place throughout the region, and printing services may also be sourced to print flyers and posters announcing these events.
Several events will be taking place at the Matthews Winery. Yesterday, it sponsored a cork and canvas, where attendees will learn how to paint in the Barrel Room while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Tonight, the Ricky Venture Revue will be at the winery with music from the 1960s through the current day to which people can dance. Wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle.
On the day after Christmas, the band Rain City Time Machine will be performing, also with music from the 1960s to the current day for dancing and listening. Purchases of wine will be available by the glass or bottle.
On the weekends of December 20 and 21 and 27 and 28, there will be tasting experiences at the Obelisco Estate. Saturday tastings are from noon until 5:00 pm and Sundays’ are from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A fee of $15 is charged and all of the current wines at the vineyard are available for tasting.
