Womens event in Woodinville
A healing event specifically for women is scheduled in Woodinville.
The January New Moon Women's Healing Circle will center on a Cacao ceremony, a ritual that uses ceremonial-grade cacao. Ceremonial cacao is a traditional chocolate with great flavor that emulates some of the Aztec and Mayan people’s spiritual practices. Historically, drinks made of cacao have been used in life-affirming rites such as marriages and births, as well as battles. Today, the use of this superfood is becoming more common in practices designed to ground the body, mind, and spirit, and help the individual open themselves to creative paths.
Organizers of the upcoming healing circle note that drinking cacao with intention helps people “shut off” the outside world and turn inward to become more mindful of emotions and feelings that have been repressed. Cacao is also energizing without the crash of today’s stimulating drinks.
The event is limited to women so they can create a safe space for one another in which they can connect and be open about their struggles and desire to change and grow. Participants will interact with cacao, and will also write in their journals, use crystals, rose oil, oracle cards, and more.
The Women’s Circle is scheduled for January 11, from 6.00pm until 8.30pm. The address will be sent to participants after they complete their registration. An event like this is the ideal place for like-minded people to exchange business cards.
