Teatro ZinZanni, a circus/dinner theater, recently announced it is moving what it jokingly calls its “world headquarters” to Woodinville, where it will take over the site of the Redhook Brewery.
The circus has signed a 10-year lease, with two options to renew for another ten years each, according to an article in The Stranger.
Norm Langill, the circus's artistic director and founder, said the organization was “finally bringing show business to the Hollywood District of Woodinville.” The move to Woodinville allows ZinZanni to bring all of its operations together in one place for the first time. This includes its administrative offices, costume shop, and scene shop. The circus is also considering reopening a studio to teach circus arts as well. ZinZanni had such a training program at one time, but had to shut it down when it moved into temporary quarters.
Langill says he is excited that all the departments will be together, a change from having eight separate administrative and storage facilities scattered throughout Seattle. Langill hopes that consolidating everything will enable him and the company to create better shows, and then go on to open productions in other locations, including Seattle.
ZinZanni plans to open a new show in November 2018, to start things off. Chef Jason Wilson, from The Lakehouse, will have charge of the kitchen.
