What's Happening in Woodinville, WA…

Singer/songwriter to appear in Woodinville

A singer/songwriter who started his career writing material for others will appear in Woodinville.

Jackson Browne was only a teenager when he started composing. He co-wrote “Take It Easy” for the Eagles, and joined the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band for a short period, writing songs for them. Encouraged by his ability to help others, he decided to start publishing his own music, and released “Jackson Browne,” his debut, in 1972. Two Top 40 hits, “Doctor, My Eyes” and “Rock Me on the Water” came from this album.

He continued releasing albums with moderate success until 1977, when he dropped “Running on Empty,” which proved to be his breakthrough. The album climbed to No. 3 on the charts, and stayed there for a year. Browne recorded in locations familiar to all traveling musicians, such as hotel rooms and tour buses, but also included material from his stage performances. Both “Running on Empty” and “The Load-Out/Stay,” were from this album, and both were solid Top 40 hits.

His most recent album, “Downhill from Everywhere,” dropped in 2021.

A review says:

“. . . it was a great evening to see Browne showcase that he is still relevant and putting out music that fans want to hear both live and on albums.”

Jackson Browne will appear at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery on September 16 at 6:30 pm. When organizers schedule events like this, they can use flyer printing to create handouts to advertise the show.
