To obtain the housing in question, the individuals have to be female and should be studying certain subjects. Only information technology and computer science are considered to be appropriate disciplines. Kristina Linova, who manages the program for Tune House, has explained:
“Through the program, they will be receiving free housing for the entire academic year as well as laptops, but in addition to that we are creating a collaborative environment for female students in STEM program success to a rich network of professionals.”
The founders of the organization came up with the idea, according to Ms. Linova. They were reportedly inspired to act by their own experiences of education in college.
The Tune house has three kitchens, four bathrooms, and eight bedrooms. It is hoped that the common academic interests will help the students to come up with innovations.
