Local artist coming to perform in Woodinville

A vocalist based in Seattle will perform for Woodinville audiences soon.

Sarah Brunner is a native of Michigan who now lives in Seattle and works as a full-time professional musician both with her band, The Hipocrats, and as a soloist. She cites influences including The Lumineers, Sam Smith, and Brandi Carlile, and plays rhythm guitar, using the instrument along with her voice to shape a song. She can energize the audience in both small venues and major arenas, and focuses on touring and performing live, which she enjoys.

She was a student at Michigan State University in 2013 when she began her musical career. She performed abroad, playing at hostels in the UK, and busked around Europe. In 2017, she relocated to Seattle, where she has remained.

Sarah dropped “Caravan,” her first single, in 2021. The record featured Tyler McGinnis, a friend, and their partnership was so successful they decided to collaborate on music and create a band. In fall 2021, they founded The Hipocrats, and released their debut, a six-song EP, “Road to Joy.” They also finished a 90-show, five-month tour of 26 states, including Austin, Nashville, and Seattle. A review says:
“ . . . both give beautiful vocal performances . . .”

Sarah Brunner will be at the Goose Ridge Woodinville Tasting Room in Woodinville on February 9. Cider, wine, or the winery’s cocktail of the month will be available. Organizers of events like this will often promote them using poster printing.
