Water feature will highlight new Vancouver development

The MJ Murdock Charitable Trust is the first tenant to commit officially to moving into an office in the new development rising on the Vancouver waterfront. According to an item in the Vancouver-Southwest Washington Business Journal, the trust also granted $650,000 to the Parks Foundation of Clark County, to fund a water feature that will enhance the Vancouver Waterfront Park, a 7.3-acre space that is part of the development. The project is mixed-use and will include retail space, office space, and residential spaces.

The Trust is moving into an 18,000 square foot space comprising the top two floors of Block 6, the first building to be constructed on the site. It houses retail shops and offices.

The water feature will be designed by Larry Kirkland, and will be sited near the Grant Street Pier, which is not yet built. The water feature will depict the Columbia River watershed through its use of science, art, and history. The park in general will allow visitors to learn about the river, as well as providing a spot to play.

Temple Lentz is the executive director of the Parks Foundation, which is charged with raising money to support trails, parks, and recreational programs in Clark County. She says the foundation is thrilled with the gift, since it illustrates that the Trust believes in the project, and its potential to enrich life in the area.

Agencies like these can benefit from working with flyer printing companies to help describe projects.
