A fundraising race for charity has been scheduled in Vancouver this coming March.
The 9th Annual Couve Clover Run offers participants several races they can run as they help raise funds for local charities.
The Clover Run this year offers four courses. These include distances of three, seven, and ten-mile runs, as well as a new one-mile course that was just added this year. The one-mile “Lucky Leap” is meant to be walked and is aimed at families who would like to take part in a less strenuous event, but one that will still give them access to beverages, food, a medal, a shirt, and plenty of fun. Along those lines, there is an option to walk the three-mile course that participants can take at their own pace. This event is untimed.
The three-mile, the Lucky 7 mile, and the ten-mile courses, will be timed if participants decide to run the distance. The route is level with some small hills, and includes Fort Vancouver, Officer’s Row, the Columbia Riverfront, and more.
Since this is the Clover Run, everyone is encouraged to dress up in their best Irish gear. There will be a prize on offer for the most festive costume. In addition, all race finishers will receive a swag bag, a finisher pint glass, Couve Clover gloves, a finisher’s medal, and a technical runner’s t-shirt.
The run is scheduled for March 19, at 9.00 am. Everyone is asked to arrive by 8.30 am at the Vancouver Waterfront Park. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create course markers that can guide participants.
