Fun run lined up in Vancouver

An upcoming run in Vancouver promises fun for all.

The race is the 10th Annual Couve Clover Run, and it offers participants (who are encouraged to wear green) their choice of walking or running three, seven, or ten miles in support of local charities. In addition, there is a Lucky Leap one-mile course added this year. This short stretch is ideal for families or people with mobility issues who do not feel they can complete a longer race. They will still be eligible for a finisher’s medal, T-shirt, beverages, and food.

Those who would enjoy a longer route but still prefer to go at their own pace can opt for the untimed three-mile distance.

All the runs begin and end at the Vancouver Waterfront Park. The three-mile route is a large loop that leads racers north from the park to Evergreen, east across I-5, then south to the river, and back west to the park.

Those going seven miles will turn left at the river to add the additional distance, rather than turning right to the park. Those doing the 10K will follow a similar course, only adding on additional distance to the east before they double back. The course offers scenic views, with much of the route being beside the Columbia River.

The race is Saturday, March 23 at 9.00 am and participants are asked to arrive by 8.30 am. When events like this are scheduled, organizers often work with banner printing shops to create course signage.
