A popular family event is now on the schedule for Vancouver.
Dozer Day 2021 gives youngsters the chance to find out what heavy equipment is, and how it operates. For an entire weekend, excavators, dozers, dump trucks and other vehicles will be on display. Even better, children will be allowed to sit in the driver's seats and learn about the equipment. They will also learn about issues with regard to public safety, opportunities for work in the construction industry, and how sustainable communities are built and maintained. All youngsters will receive a Dozer Day hardhat free, as well as having the opportunity to collect stickers for the hats. All rides are free after admission is paid.
Dozer Day is actually an entire weekend, May 15 and May 16, 2021, from 11.00 am until 4.00 pm. The event draws a large crowd, and is being held at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield, a Vancouver suburb. Advanced admission is $8 for children and seniors 60 and over; and $10 for adults. Children two and under are admitted free. Tickets purchased on Dozer Day will be $11 for children and seniors, and $13 for adults.
The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Nutter Foundation, a non-profit organization which encourages youngsters to consider careers in construction, and supports a number of children's charities. Flyer printing can be used to provide a guide to the equipment at events like this.
