An upcoming concert in Vancouver will introduce audiences to young performers in the community.
The Enspire Arts Community Concert will celebrate the organization’s student Arts Ambassadors, who will collaborate with professional artists to present a musical variety program.
The concert will pair professional musicians with young Arts Ambassadors. The program includes composer and keyboardist Clay Giberson leading a jazz band that will feature performances by Arts Ambassadors Shalaka Despande and Daniel Liu. Giberson has released six records on Origin Records, a jazz label, and seven more with Portland groups Go By Train and Upper Left Trio.
The Ping & Woof Opera Company, which was founded in 2014 to make opera accessible to local audiences, will feature Peyton Wong, an Arts Ambassador. Arts Ambassador Isabel Rush will appear with Seth Moran, a fiddler-looper from Camas, Washington, and Josiah Austin, a local composer, will premiere his work “Sylvan Spirits” featuring Ambassadors Isabel Rush, Emily Liu, Erin Moriarty, and Daniel Liu.
Addie Skinner will perform a theater monologue, and professional dancer Hailey Murdoch will perform with Peyton Wong. Audiences enjoy learning about performers, information concert organizers can supply by using brochure printing to create programs.
The concert is scheduled for March 1 at the Columbia Presbyterian Church, located at 805 Columbia Ridge Drive. The doors open at 6.30 pm, with the performance at 7.00 pm. Although there is no admission charge and no tickets are required, a per person donation of $25 is suggested.
